trip to Bath

Hi everyone!

Is anyone interested in joining us for a visit to Bath? I heard it's a beautiful old city-famous for its Roman baths- worth seeing. I hope that's true :-)

At the moment it's Kari, Anne, Silje (?), Johanna, Ninja and me who are interested in going there and we thought thursday might be a good day to go there.
As for the prices: without young persons railcard: 18 pounds return ticket
but: there are group ticktes available where 4 people can travel for the price of two (9 pounds return- if my calculation is right)

--> if you are interested please post a reply tomorrow then I could buy the tickets at the travel centre on Wednesday.
The ones who are not interested can have a Bath with Anderson instead

mmh...I'd like to come but I've a poker session in my flat at 7.30 and wednesday night will be very phisical demanding!!!
Anyway, some questions:
At what time did u plan to leave?
How long is the journey?
At what time did u plan to come back?
... and who is Ninja?!! It seems a fighter's name! ehehe,I'm kidding!

I think it's a good idea, but as Cenzo said I also have the poker night at 19h30. How long would the trip take? How far is it from Southampton? I can leave earlier, so it is possible that I might join you.

would love to go, but i have an exam in the morning, and im affraid at 11.30 youre long gone.....

probably Friday would be better?...otherwise we are all tired; I didn't think of the Wednesday programme when I posted it :-)
I think we should leave between 9 and 10 (can't give the exact time yet, because if we want to take the group tickets we are bound to special trains which the woman from the travel centre will tell us)
We'll arrive in Bath approximatley at 11 and then we could return at 6 for example and be back at 8 pm at the latest- what do you think?

I have been in Bath two years ago and it's really nice and interesting. Especially the roman bath (=> therefore the name Bath ) is great; it's one of the best preserved roman baths in the world (when you walk through it you feel like an ancient roman).

Moreover there is a small shop in Bath where you get excellent crafted chocolate

thursday is defenitly out of the picture, just heard that my mom is coming to visit me thursday afternoon for a lunch
so on thursday no bath for me,
on friday, yeah why not.....

Sorry for the change again, but since the people who wanted to go from the beginning have no time on Friday (should have checked that before)and I now heard that some go to Brighton anyway we better leave it on Thursday. I guess a compromise would be to go later and return later, then we can sleep longer. :-)

Alright, I guess it's the easiest way to meet tomorrow (Wednesday) in front of the travel centre (next to student union shop) at 11 o' clock to buy the tickets.

Hi Kari, Anne and Rob,

the train to Bath is leaving at 9.32 from Central station. We bought the tickets for you (so please be there). Lucklily we're 12 persons which means 3 discounts (9 pounds per person)
We'll be back at Southampton at 7 pm.
